Since 2001, Lorraine Logerfo has taught English and Language Arts in richly diverse middle school environments within the RCAN network: Holy Trinity School in Hackensack; Mother Seton School in Union City; and most recently, St. Joseph School in Oradell. She has also taught at a school for students with emotional disabilities at their Rochelle Park and Boonton campuses.
Prior to teaching, Ms Logerfo worked in various capacities, including patient intake at Visiting Nurse Service of New York, secretary at a commodities broker, assistant buyer at an engineering firm, and accounts receivable at NBC Rockefeller Plaza.
Ms. Logerfo was a freshman at Hunter College when Nixon resigned due to Watergate; she studied acting at the NYU Lee Strasberg Theater Institute; and, she eventually graduated from William Paterson College with a degree in English Literature. She is certified in NJ to teach K-8 and to teach English through grade 12.
Ms. Logerfo is an active member of the parish of St. John the Evangelist in Bergenfield, and is the mother of three and grandmother of six. She initiated and directed 40DaysforLife campaigns in Hackensack in 2009 and 2010.
It is the very great responsibility of teachers to aid parents in sharing the profound work entrusted to them by God, to raise His precious children. Ms. Logerfo is deeply grateful that Catholic schools continue to exist in this time when young people are being barraged by media influencers and others who do not have their best interests at heart. Ms. Logerfo is honored to be counted among the distinguished staff serving the families of Christ the Teacher Academy.
